Happy Halloween!

Woo, I have been studying as much as I can every night.
Hopefully after the craziness of this week I can get more work done.

Holidays are always a great time to start up school.
Right?
Shoot, I guess not.

But, I am not going to give up. I just have to keep pecking away at it. I wanted to be done with the section I am in by now...That is life though.

Also, on November 5th I am actually going to have internet at home! That will help me a ton!

Especially late at night. After I get my son down I get on the computer, check my email. And then maybe study for an hour.

Thank goodness this course is self paced and no deadlines. Or I would REALLY be pulling my hair out.

I am moving on

Woohoo!
Yesterday I got a good hour in.
I know that does not sound amazing. But it is for me.

Shesh. I can't wait til I have internet at my house.

I am going to start just carrying around my flash cards and book everywhere. That way if I am ever somewhere with downtime I can crack into it.

Tonight I will be able to work on it better, my fiance does not work today. So he can get Alex ready for bed so I can just read, and study.

Little things like that make my life a thousand times easier.

I am a F

Recently at work, they had us take personality tests. I fell under an F.

What does that mean?

If interested take that test.

So basically, I refuse to move on from one section of the course until I get a 100%.
I am only on the beginning of the course, medical word building. And I am trying to memorize just the a's.
I REFUSE to move on without knowing each word perfectly.

So... It is taking me FOREVER to do one little section.

It frustrates me. But, in the end I know it is good. Because the better I do in this course, the better I will do at my job.

Back to flipping through flash cards for the 500th time.

Another Set back

I wont have internet until November 5th.
So, I am just going to borrow the books we have at work to do my studying.
I need to stop making excuses and get this done.

I really appreciate the comments I am getting.

And tonight, I am going to studying up on the books. It is nice to study if I just sit on the floor. My son plays in his room, and i can keep an eye on him.

I still have tons of unpacking to do, and decorating. But I need to take it one step at a time. And remember that this program is my top priority.

Weekends...not enough time

This weekend I was not able to get ANY studying done. And all last week I got nothing done. I promised myself 2 hours every day.
First, it was no computer.
Then it was no internet.
Then it was unpacking and painting, and running errands.

I am just glad it is a self paced course with no deadlines. Because boy, time sure slips away from you.

Hopefully tonight after my son goes to bed I can crack down and get quite a bit of it done.

The motivation to get the course done is there... Just finding the time is the problem.

What does everyone else do regarding time?

Onward!

I have been enrolled in the Medical Transcription course for about 2 weeks. I have fallen in love with the idea after struggling with finding sitter after sitter for my son.
The idea of staying home with my son just fills me with joy. The problem is, staying motivated and finding time to do it.

I work full time for Career Step the online school that offers the program. Not to mention I am a mom of a 14 month old little boy.

So finding time to do online school is quite difficult.

However, so far I am loving the program. It is broken apart in such an understandable way, that each section I go through I tell myself.."Yeah, I can do this...". It is still challenging. But in a good way.

I am just so excited about the possibility's after completing this program. Working from home, being with my son. Just thinking about all the money I will save on child care makes me giddy.

Right now I am barely into the program, I have just started the medical world building. So memorizing parts of medical words. FUN! Pretty soon I will be a walking medical dictionary. Haha

I guess I should stop rambling and get back to the training. Wish me luck!
